Choose from jigs, reels, hornpipes, polkas, slip jigs and other dance types, generate new patterns instantly, then customise every beat using open, accented, ghost, stopped, rim and roll strokes.
Adjust the tempo, extend patterns across one, two or four bars, add a count-in, loop difficult sections and hear each rhythm played using authentic bodhrán recordings. The animated playing view also shows the direction of every stroke, helping you connect the written pattern with the physical movement of the tipper.

Dr Declan Plummer
MEET THE CREATOR
Declan is a music teacher, lecturer and an expert in online tuition. He has a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, and a PhD (all in music) and has authored and co-authored in several academic journals and books on music. Declan has been a tutor at the Ulster College of Music for many years, where he specialises in teaching all units and components of A-Level and GCSE Music courses, and music theory (Grades 1-8 ABRSM, Trinity and RIAM boards). He also offers tuition in aural skills, music appreciation and music history.
At the City of Belfast School of music he taught advanced theory and aural skills, and at the Piano Academy of Ireland he delivered lessons in theory and musicianship. Declan also worked as a teaching assistant at the Music Department in Queen's University Belfast, where he gave lectures and tutorials for undergraduate students who studied modules in music theory and music history as part of their BMus and BA degrees.
Aside from piano, in which he teaches various styles, Declan also plays and teaches Irish traditional music, including the Irish Bouzouki, Tin Whistle, Irish Flute, Bodhrán and Uilleann Pipes. He adopts an AMA (ask me anything!) approach to learning music so email him anytime:
