My name is Declan Plummer and I’m the creator and teacher of this course, which I’ve designed to explore the unique and majestic sweet sound of the Irish Tin Whistle. This short mini course is the perfect introduction for anyone curious about learning traditional Irish music. Whether you're completely new to the tin whistle or just want a structured refresher, this course will walk you through the core fundamentals of tin whistle playing and immediately apply those skills to a well-loved Irish jig: Garrett Barry’s.

MEET YOUR TUTOR
Declan is a music teacher, lecturer and an expert in online tuition. For Irish traditional music, he plays Irish bouzouki, tin whistle, Irish flute, bodhrán and uilleann pipes, but he also teaches piano (in various styles) and specialises in teaching GCSE & AS/A2 Music, Classical Music, Music Theory & Aural Skills, and Musicianship. He has a bachelor's degree in music, a master's degree in music, and a PhD in music and has published several journal articles and books on music.
